Jul. 5, 2006: New page launched - Hot Weather & Health - News about hot summer weather, and information about coping with heat and sun exposure.
June 12, 2006: There are several blogs that "go with" this website. This month a few changes are in the works for the blogs. Today the first change was initiated: The Aircrew Health News blog now will feature daily health news posts. May 31, 2006: We have added to our website the guidelines, issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for Cargo and Baggage Handlers who have to handle cargo or baggage transported by an aircraft arriving from an area affected by a communicable disease. This is in addition to guidelines issued earlier for Passenger Agents, Cabin Crew, aircraft Maintenance Crews, and aircraft Cleaning Crews, all of which have recently been updated.
We urge aviation personnel to familiarize themselves with this set of guidelines from IATA.
May 9, 2006: An extensive Learning Library has been added to our Exercise & Fitness page. It features links to Resources, Slide Shows and Articles on topics ranging from proper exercise techniques to information about specific types of exercise, such as aerobics, aquatic exercise, weight training, walking, Tai Chi, and Yoga.
Apr. 18, 2006: New page launched - Dieting & Weight Control features a Learning Library with resources and articles to help you fight "the battle of the bulge" sensibly. The page also features the latest news and research about obesity, diets, and weight control.
Apr. 8, 2006: New page launched - Nutrition & Healthy Eating - All about what's new in nutrition research, food trends, and proper diet for health maintenance.
Mar. 4, 2006: New page launched - Parkinson's Disease features an extensive Learning Library covering the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatments for Parkinson's, as well as information on coping with the disease. The page also features news items and media reports about the latest research on this topic.
Mar. 2, 2006: New pages launched - Cardiovascular Disease features a Learning Library covering the circulatory system and cardiovascular disorders, including pulmonary embolism, thrombophlebitis, vasculitis, varicocele and varicose veins. The page also features news items and media reports about these topics.
The Heart Disease page has a Learning Library about the heart, and heart disease, including heart attack, heart failure, angina, and cardiac rehabilitation, as well as a news about these topics.
Our new Stroke page has a Learning Library about about the symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of stroke, as well as a section of news about Stroke.
Feb. 8, 2006: New page launched - Marriage & Divorce features a Learning Library covering topics such as healthy marriages and marital satisfaction, as well as domestic violence, infidelity, divorce, and custody issues. The page also features news items and media reports about these topics.
